A sequel to the anime "The Apothecary Diaries" has been confirmed, accompanied by a teaser PV hinting at the new storyline. The PV shows Jinshi receiving a paper from Loulan, and together with the words of Maomao and Jinshi, suggests that the new season will be set in a new location, indicated by the image of wheat fields. Comments from the original author Natsu Hyuuga, voice actress Aoi Yuuki (Maomao), and voice actor Takeo Ootsuka (Jinshi) express their excitement. Additionally, the original soundtrack for the second season will be released on September 17th, featuring 62 tracks and a new jacket illustration of Jinshi, mirroring Maomao's jacket from the first season's soundtrack. The story follows Maomao, a former apothecary, as she solves mysteries in the imperial court.
